BOX4WATER WW-S stormwater treatment
Modular and containerised treatment of surface runoff, stormwater and wastewater of similar composition.
Applications and process
BOX4WATER WW-S systems serve independent and centralised drainage networks. They combine mechanical and physicochemical treatment with ultraviolet disinfection for surface runoff, stormwater and wastewater of similar composition.
Available versions
- WW-S: modular construction.
- WW-S/C: containerised construction.
The systems are designed for feed with suspended solids and biochemical oxygen demand of up to 3,000 mg/dm³. A sludge dewatering unit reduces the need for sludge drying beds. Prefabricated modular buildings with internal utilities can be supplied for different climatic conditions.
Containerised installation
The WW-S/C version is adapted for field operation at ambient temperatures from +50 to −60 °C. It can be installed on concrete pads or pile foundations in permafrost conditions and can include an independent power supply.
Standard 20- or 40-foot containers are insulated with sandwich panels and equipped with temperature control, ventilation, lighting, earthing and heating cables for external connections. Intrusion alarms and remote control can be added.
Modular expansion
Modular construction supports capacity expansion as wastewater volumes increase. Stationary and mobile containerised configurations are available.
Capacity range
- WW-S/C: 1–1,000 m³/day.
- WW-S: 1–10,000 m³/day.
